Eons ago, they were forged by a secret order to maintain balance in the Universe. Yet, while the Mysterious Llamas of Gold could be used to maintain order, it was clear that they could also destroy it - irreversibly. Each Golden Llama grants its bearer great power, and more so with each llama he or she possesses. In the wrong hands they could spell doom for all llamas everywhere.
The risk was too great. Thus, thousands of years ago, they were scattered across the globe, and all knowledge of their whereabouts destroyed.
And yet, somehow, two factions battling across the ages, each out to prove superiority over the other, have discovered the existance of these most powerful of relics. Despite their war lasting millenia, only now does it truly matter. Now they fight to unearth and take possession of the greater number of the Mysterious Llamas of Gold. The legend states that the Golden Llamas will grant their bearers untold power only when the twelve llamas of all time and space are once again exposed to the sky. When this day comes, those holding the most Golden Llamas will claim victory over their enemies. Then - and only then - will one of these two warring sides bring this battle to a bloody end - for all eternity.
Who are they?
The PIRATES: Loud, hearty, brandishing fire and brutal!
The NINJAS: Stealthy, efficient, bourne on the wind and lethal!
One thing is for sure. Whoever wins, we lose...

As always, there are references to several cultural icons, more than just LOTR.
