Because there are no Dedicated Server binaries available for this game.
Another reason to never give your money to EA.

Just to expand on YaZoRs' point, there are dedicated servers online (ie you can connect to and play on them), what you can't do is run your own dedicated server on a LAN This means the game is not suitable for LlamaLAN as our internet connection cannot handle that kind of saturation.

Just had a quick look myself and I found lots of people saying they wanted it and various news posts lying about it, but nothing saying binaries are available
