We are again at an important milestone in the run up to an even, the time left is no longer months, neither is it counted in weeks, we are down to MERE DAYS! With a week to go preparations are in full swing and the air of excitement is palpable. The IRC channel is becoming very busy, at one point we had nearly a dozen people loitering, with participants, spectators, organisers, and other interested parties all chatting about the upcoming event. We can announce that the LIMITED EDITION T-SHIRTS are nearly SOLD OUT, at the time of writing we only have the materials left to print TWO more, once they are gone, they are gone, and they go to press on Tuesday of next week. In other news, we are please to announce that the t-shirt design created by Golem has found it?s way into the ?Picture Of The Month? on the UKLANS website, and an e-mail from the site manager, Khan?, has been received commending Golem on his artistic abilities. So once more the LlamaLAN reputation spreads that little bit further.
The Quake 4 vote was remarkable as being a near perfect balance, but with the number of people who have indicated that they want to play we cannot base a tournament or a 'big game' around it, but I'm sure there are enough to have some fun games in the 'free-for-all' time.
So, on to the main announcements, the voting is now closed for your five favourite games which you want played at LlamaLAN 6. This has helped us plan what we will be playing in our 'big games' and more importantly as our tournament. The votes are as follows:

So ... there we have it we will be using COUNTER STRIKE : SOURCE, UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2004, JOINT OPERATIONS, and an on the day surprise choice of a spooky nature (hopefully) as our big games and our tournament will be played on BATTLEFIELD 2. The tournament will be run as a league, with every team playing every other team on the Saturday with the possibility or running into the Sunday if necessary, and an exhibition Final on the Sunday, so you'll need to fight to be he top two in the league and then survive a play off against the other best team there to win.
A lot has been said in the forums about the fancy dress, during the Saturday night social the LlamaLAN crew will be handing over the reins (with some trepidation) to Pru and Er00 who have a number of fun games lined up for us. The fancy dress is a basic Halloween theme, so dig out those zombie, vampire, witch, goblin and ghost outfits, if there is enough participation we may even throw in a few token prizes for best costume. But most of all ... HAVE FUN ... it what we are here for!
