LlamaLAN 18 - Can we fix it? Yes we can!

A team of the CyberLlamas started looking back through the historical records and debated where it all went wrong, where the pivotal moments were, and after what seemed like weeks, but who was counting in a Universe where time no longer flowed in a linear predictable fashion, they identified three focused points where the right Llama in the right place might make all the difference, and a fourth where they couldn't quite narrow it down, it was definitely one of two ... but which?

The first was a conflict on a Tropical island during the 8th Llama Dynasty, it was an era of gladiatorial combat with individual Llamas fighting for their own honour and the honour of their patrons in the era of the Red and Blue Houses of Llamas. This was the single largest conflict of the era with the House of the Red Llamas securing a victory and creating a state of affairs that was a Far Cry from the timeline we would have found ourselves on otherwise. The CyberLlamas have calculated that in a single competition they only have to change who won the war ... it doesn't matter the order in which the matches were won and lost and the people who won and lost them.

By the time the second divergence came about in the 12th Llama Dynasty the factions had fractured into four with two loose alliances with deadly internal rivalries, the Red and Yellow factions chose the way of the Pirate, a life of debauchery, wild living and mayhem. In stark contrast the Green and Blue factions chose a life of sobriety, quiet contemplation and merciless assassination. This conflict had both of the 2 opposing teams playing the Pirates role on the Battlefield, some being slightly less un-dead than others. On this occasions the Pirates were out Pirated by the Ninjas with the Green and Blue factions taking the lead over the Red and Yellow ... and any change to this state of affairs would help correct the timeline back to anything other than the path to ultimate destruction we had been following

By the 15th Llama Dynasty the seeds of our destruction had come to fruition, the few Llamas who had survived the resulting toxic nuclear wasteland had rebuilt a society, albeit a totalitarian regime relying on mind control, but this could never last. A Resistance formed, and battle ensued, a battle that threatened to last longer than the Half Life of the radioactive isotopes scattered over the destroyed landscape that the 2 Team found themselves fighting to the Death during the Match. With the Resistance teams actively competing against each other for the honour of the defeating the totalitarian overlords resulting with the Green squad seeing off the Blue, Yellow and Red squads any change to those results should be another nudge away from the precipice, one apocalypse is a tragedy, two seems like carelessness.

Far Cry 1v1 - Double Elimination for up to 16 players (four from each team)
Battlefield Pirates 2 - 4v4* League
Half Life 2 Team Death Match - 4v4* League

* we will look into running with larger team sizes if all the four teams can raise an equal number of additional players
