LlamaLAN 18 - LlamaFASHION

Post by CyberDrac »

The Llamas turned their attention to the job in hand ... they had the Llamas, they knew the conflicts, they had the expertise, what they needed now was ... FANCY DRESS! Needless to say the Llama that suggested this was slapped repeatedly with a fish until someone pointed out that digitised CyberLlamas from the future might stick out a little bit when interposed with the time lines many centuries in their past ... generally Pirates don't wear skin tight lycra with glowing neon highlights ... and least not the sort of Pirate you would want to meet in a dark alleyway.

Each CyberLlama squad studied intensively each timeline that their squad had been selected to contest, unfortunately in CyberSpace the only reference was Wikipedia and so some of the information needed some better sources, but in conjuction with what they could remember from their history lessons they started to form an idea of what would be necessary to fit in with the local population and complete their missions ...

Pirates vs Ninjas - Blue CyberLlama Squad

Obviously there were two distinct styles and ethoses clashing during this time, with the stealthy black outfits of the Ninjas at odds with the extravagant excess of the Pirates with their flouncy shirts, tricorn hats, bandanas, eye patches, wooden legs and hooks (any group of individuals willing to remove eyes, legs and hands for purposes of making a fashion statement are not to be mocked). To ensure that the other time interlopers can recognise each other during the conflicts we recommend that any outfit has an element of the squad colour to prevent unfortunate fragging accidents.

Hawaiian - Red CyberLlama Squad

Due to excessive global warming at that point in history the Llamas of that timeline found themselves in a tropical paradise ... a violent, death ridden, and hazardadous paradise ... but at least it wasn't cold and wet. As a result the typical attire for the era was Hawaiian shirts, shorts, flip flops and sandals, leis and a general 'cowabunga dude' attitude.

Dystopia - Green CyberLlama Squad

In a broken future where the totalitarian control and subjugation was barely hidden of respectability and high fashion we expect to see a sharp dressed totalitarian overlord, with sharp suits, high collars, masks, top hats long black coats, and elegant canes with sharp contrasting black and white accented with metal. As a fashionista of the time commented, it was looking like "a French fashion designer just threw up on you".

CyberPunk - Yellow CyberLlama Squad

It was a particularly intense period in LlamaHistory, people found themselves in a utilitarian Black, but the rebellious side of Llamakind fought to personalise it with day to day objects, incorporating the technology that was such a feature of their lives with bright colours, and hiding their independence behind dark sunglasses. We can expect to see, black clothing with flashes of yellow neon, wires, cables and circuits and everything else that differentiates a CyberPunk from a drone.

Every CyberLlama needs something to wear inbetween missions and the LlamaLeaders are happy to recommend one of the limited edition (we only make as many as you order) commemorative T-Shirts.
Every event has a unique design, lovingly crafted by chief LlamaArtist, Matt 'Golem' Ainge, who is responsible for every aspect of the look and feel of each of the events and the stunning graphics and videos that are the defining uniqueness of the LlamaLAN events. Show your artistic appreciation and take a stroll over to the LlamaLAN shop (http://www.llamalan.co.uk/shop/) and place an order for a high quality, screen printed, thought provoking, memory stirring, and conversation starting T-Shirt that you'll be proud to wear out in public. Available in any colour as long as it's black.

The order for the t-shirts will be sent off on the morning of Friday, 12th October, so you need to get your order in by the evening of Thursday 11th. We have currently sold 14 of these magnificent items of apparel and if we hit the magic figure of 20 we have the opportunity to have them personalised with your LlamaLAN gaming name, if you want something different or a variation on that please include that with your order.

So start raiding your dressing up cupboards, admit it, we all have one ... and do what you can to fit into the timeline in which you will be competing. Appreciation and Kudos will be shown to all those making an effort, and as we always say, with LlamaLAN ... you get out of it what you put in!

See you all soon in your timeline inspired couture ...
