A polite PM is your best bet, they may not want to though.

As a good friend of mine I expect that is why he chose to sit next to me and so that may influence any choice he may make, although ultimately the choice is his.

edit : although sitting facing may be acceptable, I wouldn't want to speak for him

Something seems to have gone haywire in the seat planner, as it's not showing me and node to me currently, albeit the event list is, sometimes?

at times it's showing red team as:

Also, just realised this appears to all be in wrong forum? As it related to XX still I think.

Those two lists are for 20 and 21, make sure you have the correct event selected in the left hand column. With the unusual situation of having two open events the current event is actually second in the list, not top and therefore not selected by default.

They're both being shown having clicked into XX

As a side note, rather annoyed that gmail stuffed the email about XXI into spam so I never saw it..

edit: ah, it's specifically if click onto the banner onto XX, which then shows XX, but still leaves the side panel for XXI showing. And as I hadn't realised what status of XXI was, I didn't spot there was a new event.

Definitely need to add some more info the the screen to make it more obvious which event you are looking at. Also need to fix the bug with the left menu not displaying properly when you first load the page.
